Near town of Livno, on Kruzi plateau, lives a herd of wild horses.
After the war in Bosnia and Herzegovina, many herd owners, incapable of taking care of their livestock, have set their horses free. A new herd was formed, which today counts three hundred horses, and It’s believed that in couple of years it will count over five hundred. The municipality of Livno has put this herd under protection, and the association/organization Borova glava ensures they have food during the winter, as well as protection from the wolves and poachers. My fellow photographer Andrija Vrdoljak and I are documenting life of wild horses for few years.
